"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no Torah"
Dr. Monique Adu grew up in Brooklyn NY, with aspirations to make a difference in health care. She loved to teach from a very young age, and found Pediatrics a perfect fit for her passions and goals. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Long Island University, and then went on to earn her Osteopathic Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then trained in Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta GA.
She has been serving parents, infants, children, and young adults for several years, and has a passion for preventive medicine, as prevention of illness is our nation's best cure.
She has practiced as a general pediatrician for over 9 years, through traditional office, inpatient, and telemedicine visits, with a focus as an educator, on sustainability, and healthy living practices, through simple practical steps and skills.
Through her own personal journey and experience, she is able to provide a broader outreach, and teach on how to live a sustainable life, through the practice of a whole food plant-predominant diet, gardening, life skills, home management, nutrition, and principles to manage and steward our homes with peace, and ease.
In sharing simple, and practical tips, it is her hope to help families become well informed and empowered.
